Hello from Denver...

Traveled to Denver this week for business. The business has been good, but this trip has been more fun than those in the past because I actually had time to go to the mountains this time.

Denver itself isn't that exciting. It's a nice city, don't get me wrong...it's just flat and frankly a bit boring scenery-wise. This trip the weather has been fantastic with beautifully clear skies so you could actually SEE the mountains from the city.

Yesterday we took a trip to Georgetown and Idaho Springs and enjoyed the scenery and the brilliantly yellow aspens.

I have never had Denver high on my list of destinations, but now? I can't wait to come back. It will be good to go home today though.

How can you say that the Scenery in Denver is boring? Yeah I'm sure the city isn't much to brag about but I'll bet that you can look out your window and see something besides corn. Such as maybe...mountains?!?!?!

Okay I'm really biased and jealous that you got to go west. glad you got to go out and explore a bit.

That's really what I meant by the comment, that the city itself isn't that exciting.
The only other time I went there, it was very cloudy and dingy. You couldn't even see the mountains the whole time I was there and I didn't have time to travel west to see them closer up.
This time was much different. The weather was beautiful and so were the views.

I fly out of Des Moines on Nov. 6th for Denver where I'll be attending a Missing Person conference. I'll let you know if I agree with you.
